!K7 Records started in 1985 in Berlin. The label has since ballooned into a worldwide releasing, distribution and management operation famous for artists, albums and DJ mixes. Their DJ-Kicks series, one of the labels longest-standing and most visible traditions, forms the backbone of the 27!K7 Boxset. Earlier this year the label curated a choice selection of exclusive tracks from their current roster as well as recent contributors to the DJ-Kicks series for a collection of music that represents !K7s position at the vanguard of electronic music. Contributing artists include Hercules And Love Affair, Apparat, Motor City Drum Ensemble, New Look, Brandt Brauer Frick, Wolf + Lamb & Soul Clap, When Saints Go Machine, and a new project presented by Will Saul, Close. All of the music from the 27!K7 Exclusives collection has been collected on an extremely limited boxset.
