returning to the boards after a strong label showing in fall 2013, boss man liondub is back for the first time on the label since 2009 featuring nycs jahdan blakkamore and trinidadian fire starter metric man. fans of the label will surely remember the 2009 smash *the general*, another collaboration between jahdan and liondub and truly a massive tune that ignited dance floors and radio sets worldwide. the pair returns here with more fire, but they have both been busy since, with jahdan earning writing credits and a grammy nomination on the snoop lion album and liondub busy with his infamous wednesday night koollondon radio show and touring spreading theword both on the streets of nyc and around the world.

following a year-long break, liondub international is proud to announce our return to wax with the rekindling of our long-standing alliance with storied junglist marcus visionary, featuring vocals by reggae legend johnny osbourne. the first single from an albumlong project, rock it tonight revisits osbournes 1986 smash we gonna rock it tonight for the equally storied jammys records, but with an entirely new voicing and new lyrics.

originally released as the b-side to >life< on black redemption, land of confusion was voiced at ticklahs studio and released in 2007. three years later, ticklah has arranged a new instrumental track around the vocal, adding his own signature out-board effects, percussion and keyboard harmonies to the conscious lyrics of the >commander<. the resulting track and version are a musical gem, melding the dub experimentation of creation steppers with the inimitable spirit of studio 1 and soul syndicate. its no surprise then that jah shaka has offered steady support for this track on his soundsystem time and time again! three years in the making and well worth the wait.
