lab013 marks the arrival of core to the aquatic lab family. the devastating a-side, >civil war<, is a ruff street-flex of slamming drums and gutter bass, featuring the raw flow of jamakabi (of former roll deep fame). the flipside, >cyborg<, is a pumping techstepper, which merges tape-pack acid b-lines with the modern reece chaos of techno’s more recent convergence with uk dubstep.

lab012 sees the highly-touted return of original south london don cluekid. two years since his last aquatic lab twelve (the sound / late nights ), the perennial favourite of dmz and fwd>> returns with a big plate that is bang on the money. it finds cluekid on a fresh, colourful tip – ensuring aquatic labs re-emergence as one of bass musics key international players.
