kid dramas sound is one thats taken giant strides in the last couple of years, first showcased in his metalheadz debut which came in the form of last years trife ep. building upon that is the addition of the enforcer ep set for release this september and consisting of 4 chunky slabs of hard-hitting drum and bass interlaced with beautiful pads and soundscapes, a combination very few successfully execute.

introducing a new label, with a direction, we proudly present dispatch blueprints, returning for the second release with kid drama and the one and only skeptical.
bringing the deeper sound to the forefront, it made natural sense to welcome back label stalwart skeptical, whose sub centered sound has remained an inspiration since his dispatch debut in 2010 and subsequent output on labels like exit, r&s and soul:r.
when combined with the eclecticism of kid drama, it makes for a stunning fusion, developing the blueprints foundation and delving further into the lower frequencies.
setting the path for our new imprint in the best way, with some of our very favourite artists, we are proud to showcase both skeptical & kid drama on dispatch blueprints.

taking a deeper, more old skool inspired route, blueprints sets itself apart from the other dispatch labels, with a stronger emphasis on organic progression and building the vibe from scratch, savouring all the intricacies and adjustments along the way.
we’ve always been lovers of the roots / heritage sound that so many artists and labels have inspired us with until today so we’re feeling privileged in being able to showcase this sound via our new imprint.
reaching out to the discerning listeners, with an ethos all too often lost in the impatient modern day, kid drama pays his due respects, opening dispatch blueprints in the best possible way, with two classic tracks with all the emotion of the late 90s.

kid drama’s debut metalheadz release is one that is set to shake up this 4-year-old alias as he heads in a direction that’s slightly more focussed on the dancefloor, whilst managing to subtly retain some of the elements that have seen him become so loved in the deeper and more experimental side of drum and bass. the ‘trife ep’ proves how much of a talent kid drama is, from the savage bassline in ‘brutal d’ to the late 90s techstep vibes of ‘articulation’ all the way to ‘payback’, which is a track that could have easily come out under his and boddika’s instra:mental moniker. this is an extremely well-rounded project and one we’re delighted to be releasing on metalheadz.

the fourfit series from soul:r gathers pace with a second release that is packed with label debuts as lsb, anile, fd and kid drama all step up to deliver some high class productions for the contemporary drum and bass selectors.

damon kirkham aka kid drama made his first steps into the 170 bpm realms as one half of the game changing production partnership instra:mental. together with dbridge their autonomic podcasts went down in history for breathing new life back into a somewhat stagnant underground drum and bass scene, showcasing their material alongside many other producers and pricking up many ears that had long since given up on the genres increasingly formulaic output. after a few years working under his jon convex moniker, he returns to the higher tempos as kid drama feeling there is still a lot of uncharted territory left to explore. together with dbridge he has embarked on a new podcast series (heart drive) which again aims to showcase their new material and that of like minded producers. his first release as kid drama *one six eight* appeared on the mosaic vol 2 lp followed by a remix of one of his own jon convex tracks on convex industries *with you* but here we have his debut full release as kid drama including collaborations with om unit and hands like crime.

exit 100.3 part 3 is a return to our dnb roots, with artists who have and will shape the exit sound, clear transparent vinyl with screen printed pvc sleeves
