we are super stoked to have this killer ep out on local talk as we have been big fans of both c.r.s.t. and chesus productions for good while now. as these guys are down with both house music and the uk garage scene we get served an ep that combines the best of both styles. the result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic new jersey zanzibar club or in your dirty london basement club. the first three tracks (monster munch, newark and life) takes us on a deep and jackin house trip with a bouncy garage twist. but to stir things up a lil extra the last track (special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples ... perfect for the southport weekender crews!

the first release on newly forged catapult records is a double a side featuring two of south wales brightest rising stars, darkhouse family and crst. >stabwound< from darkhouse family owns the a side which represents a much more frenetic stretch to their sound. >stabwound< is a straight up dancefloor number that still retains the duos future boogie synth lines and red-eyed drum patterns you have experienced on their previous releases for fat city, >stay blazed< and >mein atari<. this release packs a heavy, heavy punch, and is livened with plenty of percussive stutters set amid a blaze of hazy electronics, get your hands in the air and prepare to feel your very soul tingle. the flip is ruled by herve, n type and skream approved welsh four piece crst with >redeyey. this is a more tribal chrome coated take on garage, its a nasty piece of dance floor business they offer.
