disco bucuresti is an audio homage to romanias capital, bucharest. growing up between the citys communist blocks of flats and maturing in the citys underground discos left a distinct creative mark on andrei idu (the legendary 1979 orchestra). ever since leaving bucharest for amsterdam, andrei felt the need to tribute the place that shaped him. however, it was only until recently that he found the means necessary to express the feelings he felt. thus, records released during the 70s and 80s in romania as sole sample source, analog drum machines, delays, filters and reverbs, all recorded in live takes come together in this evocative ep.

legendary sound research is at the fatidical release 13. label boss is only a fan of stevie wonders superstition so he stepped up and took care of 13 himself. the gets deep ep has the legendary 1979 orchestra delving more and more into deep house territory, featuring 3 tracks full of emotion and character. will hit hard!

sixth release on the burgeoning diner city sound label, we have featured the legendary 1979 orchestra before on a well received collaborative effort with his buddy volta cab on dcs004. we decided to invite him back to release his own ep with us. 4 brilliant tracks, beat down and fun all round from this exciting young producer!
