rinder & lewis: anger - considered one of the most abstract production teams of the disco era, this cut was taken from their >seven deadly sins< album (very rare!). never released on 12inch inch, this cut was a music box fave! not much to edit, just give it a dj friendlier drum intro. a great cut for a disco or a deep house set!mighty clouds of joy: time - one of my favorite edits! taken from their >its time< album. even thought this song was produced by dave crawford, the philly sound played a big part in it (thanks to norman harris on guitar & earl young on drums). the song was originally recorded in 2 parts, so i combined them with a little bit of dub. yes, you can give praise and boogie at the same time!

mighty clouds is a brand new project that finds thomas re-teaming with betty marie barnes, a talented singer who provided vocals for slgtms every night and fill up the room.the result is a collaboration of the sort that can only occur when two musicians connect on a level that goes beyond the songs they are performing. throughout mighty clouds self-titled debut, thomas and barness musical camaraderie generates a gentle electricity that exudes intimacy and beckons the listener to move in for a closer listen.

smbd aka simbad is back with his third seasonal ep on gamm. after a long and dark winter smbd thought we all could need some uplifting and soulful spring music...church style! these three gospel boogie/disco jams have been his personal dj weapons over recent years but now they re given a sweet edit twist for your dancing pleasure. it doesn t really get more uplifting than this!
