In a fresh, light and nippy way Mr. Russell drums us out of the Indian summer into the Oriental autumn. Pipes of Pan prance above this cool Arab beat and take a rocking guitar line in between. And because Germany becomes extremely cold these days, Fenou #9 heats up more pressing than its predecessors and warms us on top with a vocal taken from The Arabian Nights that crackles in our ears. The flip side shows more deepness and blows over a warm breeze of Spanish dance air on the guitar. Vocals whisper longingly above the drums, engrossed in thought far away at the seaside. With this record autumnal coldness is long forgotten and expelled.
