Kresy should not be a stranger for those who have been following Hivern for the last couple of years. Real name Alejandro Rodriguez, this young producer from Asturias landed in the label with Many Man (incl in Hivern A LEstiu II), a track that wisely matched deep-house dynamics with hip-hop vocals to become a quite unexpected underground floor-burner, getting regular plays by the likes of Four Tet or John Talabot. Now, were thrilled to introduce you Lords Of Percussion his first fully own release on the label and first-ever vinyl output.

The imposing title track invokes the spirit of the darker side of Detroit with a a kind of psychedelic perspective. Blending utterly tense pads with savage vocal samples and fueling them with heavy drums, Kresy bring us a battering Techno cut that exudes sterling rawness and will unveil primitive forces even in the most rough dancefloors. Along the original mix, the release includes brilliant remixes by Uncanny Valley's Jacob Korn and Barcelona's uprising duo Aster. Korn brings the track to more housier dominions, combining hypnotic percussive sequences with crystalline piano chords to serve us a smoother vision of it but equally maintaining it's dazzling vivacity. On the other hand, Aster bring down the track's cadence and give it a supplement of ingenious synth-work and tribal percussion to transform it into a profoundly narcotic venture. To complete the 12” we come across “Holding Space” another mind-boggling composition by Kresy himself. In this occasion he fuses Chicago-alike energy with winding cosmic arpeggios, topping them with another dose of spooky African chants that will make your spine tingle as you inevitably approach the dancefloor.

As always, we feel really proud to uncover a new talent from our country, in this case with what's probably our most “proper Techno” release till date. It comes in a hand-stamped white-label 12” vinyl with a beautiful card-sleeve designed by Barcelona-based artist Pau López Peñalver.
