Erol plays the keys, while Lukas creates the beat by using small self-made and programmed hammers that hit the grand piano. He captures these sounds on the computer, then manipulates and loops them.

With this setup they create highly analogue cinematic sound-scapes and tracks made for the dancefloor. Grandbrothers track ‘Ezra Was Right’ has become a part of Gilles Peterson’s recent DJ sets and his radio show ‘Worldwide’ on BBC. Peterson also nominated the song for his ‘track of the year 2013’ award. While ‘Ezra Was Right’ is more downbeat, ’Notbrause’ is highly suitable to be mixed straight into a proper house set. The EP comes with an ‘Ezra Was Right’ remix by the edit-master Greg Wilson and his partner Derek Kaye.
