Void Coms is a label inspired by the work and theories of Yves Klein. Kleins work revolved around a Zen influenced concept he came to describe as *le Vide* (the Void). Kleins Void is a nirvana-like state that is void of worldly influences, a neutral zone where one is inspired to pay attention to ones own sensibilities, and to reality as opposed to representation. We hope to apply these ideas to the musical and identity approach of the label, letting powerful music speak above persuasive imagery & enticing embellishments. Homologous takes the form of 3 compositions designed specifically for Void Coms, with Fis being heavily instrumental in the development of the ideology behind the label, as well as spearheading its musical direction. VOIDCOMS001 has been mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy to be released on 12 inch vinyl with a laser etching of original artwork by Fis designed exclusively for the release. Further transmissions to follow.

Klein tried to make his audience experience a state where an idea could simultaneously be “felt” as well as “understood”. In todays musical market, we think the ‘feeling’ is being left behind in favour of the perception. Void Coms celebrates it’s inaugural audio transmission with one of todays true innovators. New Zealander Oliver Peryman aka Fis has had just 3 releases to his credit so far, but has sent a whirlwind of intrigue across the entire electronic musical plain with these sound sculptures. Fis has taken conventional musical composition and reformed it using an unexpected, but extremely rewarding method that embeds itself in your psyche revealing new and unheard audio contortions with every listen.
