The third installment in the Catz n Dogz vinyl series is a showcase for two standout songs off their album Stars of Zoo. >SF< is a throwback to classic house tracks, with a modern twist - a playground full of joyous children have invaded its sly, bongo-laden grooves. Yet these precocious youngsters are only part of the story – the beats insistent and ever-changing swing never lets up for more than a couple of moments. >2< is more ominous but no less effective. Its primary percussion enters like springs filling up an echo chamber, gradually morphing into several competing themes that weave together throughout the track. 2s bass is a serious force, creating a physical presence that must be heard on a large system to be believed!
