after storming onto the scene in 2008, in four short years harvest has received support from the likes of andy c, dj hype, hazard, taxman, twisted individual, marky and heist. using his musical background as a foundation, the birmingham based producer has gone on to produce jump up, jungle, liquid and dark minimal - earning him recognition from all aspects in the scene.

the production duo of dual process, aka dj java and dj ben j, have been in the drum & bass scene since before it was being called the drum & bass scene. initially as ravers, then djs, and now as producers, they have been witness to the progression of the various sub genres that are now present in todays spectrum of drum & bass music. after releases individually and collectively on several different labels dual process are ready to launch their own label aimed at the particular sub genre that they have successfully played in raves, clubs and on radio for the last few years. straight up, dance floor, jump up is whats going to be on offer from audio hostage records, and to kick things off we have two heavy slices of face churning, bass ridden, ignorance capable of setting mcs to self destruct and levelling any sound system. both tracks are getting heavy support from a range of djs and radio stations such as, hype, crissy criss, taxman, nicky black market, brockie, ss, jack frost, ash attack, hoodlum, logan d, profile, pappa g, vital elements, spice, origin fm and kool fm.

welcome to fab guiro! - the album title is a combination of both the popular british phrase fab gear referring to all cool music & lifestyle aspects and issues surrounding the band and also stresses the relation to the percussion instrument guiro that is an integral instrument, sound and necessity in latin, salsa and especially traditional cuban music. fab guiro! is beat music in a fascinating, exotic robe, a drum roll of liverpudlian song pearls the songs of the beatles on fab guiro! do actually sound like copacabana, cuba and kingston - but always like the english harbour town in the summer - northern song in a southern style are indeed warm songs, fab guiro! simply means lots of fun, entertainment and thus celebrates our heroes.

dj hazard, der erste drum & bass dj/produzent, der als nichtmitglied der ganja kru auf deren berŸhmten true playaz label gesignt wurde, liefert ein adrenalin geladenes jump-up-drum & bass-set der sonderklasse mit 50(!) tracks in 66 minuten ab, das es einem die sprache verschlŠgt, und legt dabei techy, soulful und rhythmische variationen an den tag, so dass der mix durchweg tight und abwechslungsreich bleibt. ein kšnner eben!

stevie ray vaughan war ein amerikanischer blues/ bluesrock-musiker, der oft in einer reihe mit jimi hendrix, johnny winter , ... genannt wird, die schon gut 15 jahre vor vaughans kommerziellem durchbruch das genre des blueslastigen rock gepraegt hatten. der grammy-gewinner arbeitete fast ausschlie§lich mit traditionellem rock n roll-instrumentarium der 50er und fruehen 60er jahre, erweitert um die psychedelischen (analogen) effekte der hendrix-aera. die extrem erfolgreiche karriere endete abrupt vor 20 jahren durch einen hubschrauberabsturz.
