starting his musical career at the age of 12, sharooz began playing guitar in punk bands in his native northern ireland during the mid-90s, before beginning to produce dance music and start djing around 1998. his first gigs took the form of live pas, playing alongside the likes of king unique, peace division and inland knights at the legendary smokescreen free parties. soon sharoozs djing profile began to rise, leading to gigs at space and cafe mambo in ibiza, turnmills in london and passion in coalville to name but a few. over the past 7 years sharooz has djed alongside such luminaries as pete tong, marshall jefferson, terry francis and even shaun ryder

digitalism has lovingly created a mix for !k7s legendary dj-kicks series. for these two young germans, jens moelle and ismail tŸfekci, joining the ranks of contributors to the series was nothing short of a dream come true. twelve years ago, the duo met as two record store workers in hamburg, admiringly selling the dj-kicks series to their customers, and appreciating the dexterity of the mixes and range of artists who assembled each mix. their favourite contributions include tigas mix (his mix was the essence of edgy and cold electro-techno.), the playgroup mix (more really playful stuff.) and erlend oyes mix (cause he sung over a lot of stuff and had some favorites like jŸrgen paape and the collaboration with morgan geist.
