new imprint bogen konzept recordings first release comes from todd sines under his cron alias. two previously released cuts from 1994 and two immaculate productions from 2017 coded and compiled by this well known artist. bogen konzept recordings is run by the namesake bogen konzept store based in kassel, germany and is very excited and proud to announce the opening of his new own label. after many years of parties, clubbing and researching we decided to move another step up the ladder with this addition ... or addiction.

earlier this year, todd sines inaugurated yore with the slamming techno-funk of the .xtrak release back_up ep and now returns for round two with dont stop. without losing the stripped-down, minimal tech-house funk essence of the .xtrak sound, sines ups the acid-house ante considerably in the new material. the old-school title cut makes an immediately vivid impression by repeating the insistent vocal hook >dont stop<-both command and mantra-over a towering backbeat. >cut to the chase< does exactly that with funky handclaps and syncopated swing, while the b-sides low-riding >unreflect< pairs dropouts and bass-crawling boogie. slightly different in character, the squiggly acid-techno track >quantum mechanics< is as precision-tooled as its title suggests. despite the subtle shift in stylistic emphasis, dont stop offers a splendid complement to the earlier release
a new label called yore by andy vaz (background records) and alessandro vaccaro (persistencebit), focusing on the authentic old school sound in both house and techno. yre-001 delivers an irrepressibly funky set of old-school techno tracks by todd sines under the .xtrak guise. the chicago-styled cuts resurrect the ‘95 vibe of the material sines produced for and with dbx (daniel bell) on 7th city and peacefrog, as well as on carl craig’s planet e. >back up ep< presents four slamming samplings of techno-funk
