Luchshiy Drug/Лучший Друг - a new project from the «STVOL/СТВОЛ» label founded by Cream Soda’s Dima Nova and Ilya Gadaev. Luchshiy Drug/Лучший Друг is a duo composed by the founders’ close friends Mark Valkovsky (Vocals, Guitar) and Roman Svirgunov (Synths, Production) whose inspiration is channelled from the likes of Moby, Ross from Friends, Nirvana, Kings of Leon and Interpol. The main reason behind the creation of this project and their debut album according to the artists is unrequited love and bad relationship experiences.

Their debut LP - it’s «indie-electronica with a taste of broken heart». A whole spectrum of emotions and concerns inspired by real-life events can be found inside. The album’s track-list was conceived so the listener can experience the whole story from emotional obsession to emotional freedom and liberation.

STVOL/СТВОЛ — this word’s meaning reunites the aesthetics of the Russian ghetto, underground aggression and erotic ambiguity.

Our mission is to share Russian music with the world, to show it exists and to prove that it deserves its own space on the international scene. STVOL/СТВОЛ it’s first and foremost a group of like-minded individuals with a goal in common - to develop sound culture and proper ideological values in Russia. The label was founded by the Moscow-based band Cream Soda and aims to release Russian projects and musicians with a distinctive and authentic style.

We’re surrounded by a myriad of talented musicians who know how to create music but got no idea of what to do next, we want to assist the creators in that sense and point them in the right direction. For now we want to focus on artists from our entourage, but we are always open to talented individuals from outside that circle.
