Solo project of Vanishing Twin (Soundway) member. The song Cucumuber Sword feat. vocals by Taishi Nagasaka (Fat White Family) Man From Uranus has been making music inspired by the freakier edges of 60s and 70s library music and jazz for almost 2 decades, and like his predecessors - Sun Ra, Space Lady - he s never really fitted in, feeling more comfortable exploring cosmic realms than than with his feet firmly on his own planet. A prolific composer and home recordist, he has garnered a reputation for eccentric live shows, each presenting an entirely new repertoire. Alien Flowers, in a limited edition of 300, is one of few recordings capturing the spirit of an artist who is unwittingly on his way to attainting cult status. Alien Flowers has been played on NTS, The Wire s Adventures in Sound and Music and The Independent Music Podcast. Support from The Sunday Experience, Tom Furse (The Horrors), Jonny Trunk, Doug Shipton (Finders Keepers), Emily Bick (The Wire) and Anthony Chalmers (Baba Yaga s Hut).
