Maya Medvesek aka Nightwave is a Glasgow based DJ, producer, vocalist and RBMA graduate currently doing shows in Europe and preparing to tour Australia and NZ in April and USA in May. As a vocalist she guested on Rustie’s critically acclaimed Warp Records album ‘Glass Swords’ with the single ‘Surph’ which hit daytime Radio 1, garnering support far and wide from the likes of Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw & Huw Stephens. In style of Nightwave’s recent releases, the tracks on ‘Hit It’ are club-focused, full of energy, bass-heavy 808s and grimey synths and there’s a radio-friendly instrumental as well. DJ support from Kode9, Mark Pritchard, Drop the Lime, Sinden, Nguzu Nguzu, Crookers along with Radio 1 play from Rockwell and Ally Macrae.
