All the way to the sun and back to the dance floor – Madrid soul-rockers The Right Ons get the electroshock treatment from The Emperor Machine and Gomma boss Telonius.

“I Do What I Want To Do” is what Andrew John Meecham, better known as The Emperor Machine, must have thought when we asked him for a remix of The Right Ons' slow burning rock track from their latest album Get Out. And rightly so! Meecham fired up his space truck, set the controls for the heart of the sun and off he went, taking the tune way out into the cosmos for a 10+ minute trip that seems to go on forever, yet it's still feels like not long enough.

Telonius, one half of the two-headed beast running the fabulous Gomma Records, had the same initial thought, but instead of outer space, he chewed up glam-rocker “Purple Neon Lights” up and spit it out onto the crazy hot dance floor, the track all dressed up with a shiny new, Schaffel-like beat and extra peak-time synths floating around it like a halo. Ooh-ooh!

The Right Ons are one of the hardest working bands on the Spanish rock scene. With three albums out (the most recent one being this year's Get Out on Lovemonk), the five-piece from Madrid never stop touring, playing their raucous mix of rock, soul and funk in clubs, at festivals, weddings and biker gang reunions in Europe, Japan, and the USA. If you want a party where girls throw their knickers on stage and boys want to be the ones on that same stage, The Right Ons are your go-to men.
