Bokhari Records is a vinyl only label. Bokhari has been inspired by Mo Wax of old, and Firecracker of present where care was/is also taken on packaging and design. Each release will feature a different illustrator / artist for the design. A very strong and varied 12 for the second release from Bokhari. 300 copies, vinyl only, and featuring wild 3D hand drawn artwork by nocturnal illustrator Ben Cook AKA Synthetics. Siafus Slunk Dub starts proceedings with a slow, deep, languid house groove, propelled forward by a motoring bassline, murky acid grooves and insanely catchy keys. Acid House survivor Neville Watsons remix is tinged with nostalgia. Slow building mid-90’s piano riffs give way to a nagging acid groove and epic synths. Retro futurism of the highest order. On the flip unknown Croatian producer Disrupted Projects 1.2 is an infectious slab of ocean deep, grainy dub techno. Drenched in warm bass and swimming in static - if Basic Channel had stepped it up a notch, this may have been the result. Label owners Siafu provide a dub mix utilizing a minitaur bass.
