Emerging from afternoon studio sessions, the final scores, too many beers and then nights in an upstairs room at their local boozer, Discomendments aka Lee Fisher (of Mother >All Funked Up< fame) and Paul Kaminski have developed into a fine production unit who are into anything and everything. Having started out cutting and pasting edits for their own DJ use, they are now focusing on original productions that fuse different styles and genres from past to present. Sleeping Giant, their debut release on Maxi Discs, borrows unashamedly from the early Network house sound, but fuses it perfectly with contemporary slo-mo house, disco and Balearic vibes. Whether on the beach or in the basement, the Discomendments sound is equally at home! On the flip side, Maxi label boss, Pete Herbert, turns up the heat and reworks the original into a dancefloor bomb.
