Disco Monster has been hammered by the likes of DJ Mehdi, Busy P, Breakbot, Brodinski, Joost van Bellen, Erol Alkan, Tom Trago and many more.

Le Le has had a good year. To commemorate this we decided it was time to unleash the remixes by one of the key tracks on their last EP (Marble). And now it’s time for the remixes. First up is the Azari & III Remix, after their huge success with “Hungry For The Power” and “Reckless With Your Love”; they have graced us with this instrumental slow-building-will-definitely-grow-on-you-remix.

Based on a loop from the original this is definitely a dj-tool extraordinaire. Secondly is Marco Solo, one half of duo Marco & Orpheo, that have done very well in 2009 with their own Hand Of God label and it’s first hit Mach 4. Marco has the Italo-arpeggio hand of god, and it’s audible in this remix. Very well constructed with respect to the original version. On the b-side, we kick of with what could easily be the biggest of these remixes. Seymour Bits’ Subsonic Monster lives up to the title. Deep and dark, with a pay-off after the break. Already a big peak-time record in selected clubs, where it comes to live on a big soundsystem. Alecto, a friend of our family, comes up with a fidgety remix with apparent links to his Hip-hop and Reggae roots. Also included is the original, with its Thriller-like voice, dark-Italo basslines and spacey chords.

Needless to say (since hes one third of Le Le) this 12inch is packed in a very nice original Parra sleeve. His work is highly in demand after he designed shoes for Nike, Converse, Vans and Etnies as well as his very successful art shows in Paris, Berlin and New York this year.

DJ FEEDBACK
/ COMMENTS ABOUT THE RELEASE

Carmine P. Filthy (Brooklyn) - Le Le keeping it fun once again with 'Disco Monster.' I'm sure this one will keep the neon army dancing into the late hours. I like how the vocal delivery is a bit American R&B. I'll most likely play the Marco Solo mix with it's Italo vibe.

Lord Darko (Spank Rock) - So my judgement is reserved, but I'm not sure if I'm totally feeling it.
The Breakfast joint was such a monster jam, that I think this one kinda falls short.

Q Burns Abstract Message (Orlando) - Liking the totally authentic-sounding Italo vibe of the Marco Solo Remix. Nice work. The original has some fine moments as well.

Tim Sweeny (NYC – DFA DJ ) - I like the Azari & III remix, but I love the cover! Parra is the best.

JDH (Fixed – NYC) - Thanks for sending me these. I really like the Azari & III and Marco Solo remixes. Will be playing both for sure. Especially the Azari one. Huge! Not super psyched on the vocal original. Would love to hear an instrumental though- nice beat!

Hatckmatik – (Montreal) - These are ALL really great!

DJ Fame (NYC) - Nasty tune here man! Seymour Bits is the one for me, it gets twisted!

Induce (Miami) - Oh this shit is great! Been waiting for some new Le Le for a minute! Thanks!

Shaka 23 (Brooklyn) - I'm glad you sent this reminder. I missed this in my inbox! I absolutely love it and will play it. Super electro sexy and totally my style

Jordan Dare (Montreal) - Cool sounds , Liking the Marco Solo remix and Azari as well.

Spencer Product (NYC) - I am most keen to the Marco Solo - that synth line is totally on key with how i'm feeling right now something a bit warm and easy to make it jam. The other one is the Azari & III , it's similar and yet fun too.

JT Donaldson – (San Francisco) - I dig the original and the Azari & III remix, although this will most likely not get played in my dj sets. I LOVE parra, have a few original drawings in my house from 2007, and loved the first Lele single. I will hit you with a nice 1 liner even though It's not my cup o tea for dj sets ... I can appreciate it all the same. " One of my favorite graphic artists Parra, and his group Lele bring the serious electro-disco heat! " p.s. i'd love to do a remix for Lele somedayday. if you have any in's i'd do it for free and on spec with hopes they liked it.

Richard OH (Big Stereo – San Francisco) - i love the marco solo mix. i think i replied about it when you sent it, hmmm. is there a full length you can share privately with me, i wont post.

Cameron Tang (LA) - love the le le dudes, super cool and great live show. i think their mix is the best.

Luca (Drop The Lime, Curses, Trouble & Bass NYC) - the original is smooth and creepy! absolutely fresh sound.. will play the marc solo remix in those late night creep crawls
Figure (KY) - i just played this out at our monthy in Kentucky and 3 people came up and asked what it was , and them someone goes .. ooo thats a classic . i think he thought it was a older track. Its a great track , the original is better than the remixes , which doesnt happen much.

Dominique (Plant, The Glass, NYC ) - Cool tune, I like the original the best other mixes are good but nothing that would make me play it on the dancefloor vocals are good so I could hear a really good remix working very well

Nick Catchdubs (Fool’s Gold Records NYC) - I liked the Azari & III mix, will be playing that one. nice and dubby.

Dopewerewolf (Brooklyn) - I love the production on these tracks, especially on the original, the Seymour Bits, and the Marco Solo remixes. The vocals aren't the sort of thing I usually play out. But I will probably drop the Seymour Bits remix in a set and see what sort of reaction I get. It really depends on what the gig is and what sort of crowd I'm playing to. ...I would really love an instrumental of the Marco Solo remix though. I would play the hell out of that.

Chris Para (Nightlife Mag Toronto) - Probably the most consistent EP I've encountrered in a while...No throwaways here - original and remixes are all killer. disco inflections abound, with arpeggios and sexy keyboards throughout. Solid stuff1

DJ Red Eye (Dallas) - I love every mix on here and can fit them all in various nights i play. Spot on release guys!!!!! 5 stars. p.s.- may i get a copy of the actual vinyl..i'd like to have the sleeve!

Vida Ventura (Brooklyn) - THis Joint is SICK. Its one of those tracks that is can be enjoyed by a lot of different tastes. Cant wait to drop it. The original sounds like it would be the best for a megaclub with a great sound system. The three remixes sound a bit boutique-ish; underground, or class specific. The only thing I'm not too crazy about with the track is the dance cattle statement. But the draw of the sound is like a tornado sucking me into my speakers.

Peter Cervieri (NYC) - i like the Marco Solo and Azari remixes the best. would have been good for halloween :-)

Sleezemore (San Francisco) - Love this release, I think the Azari and III or Seymour Bits remixes are the ones I am going to be playing out depending on the set and where I am playing.
Monica Sharp (Brooklyn) - probly one of the best sets youve sent me yet. thanks!
