this release is one of round numbers. it’s metroline limited release number 50. you may have actually noticed that we almost got to release 90 by now but number 50 was always kept behind for a collaborative release between the two men behind the label: andrea and gianpiero aka octad and phiorio.

phiorios animals release has been a labour of love. after co-running metroline limited for the past 6 years and after a series of digital releases and remixes for both metroline and retrometro (as well as letroom limited and mbf amongst others), phiorios vinyl debut on ml finally sees the light of day. the choice of remixers has also been laborious but over at metroline hq we are really happy that in the end we managed to secure two stunning reworks by the likes of the more and more in demand french producer doubtingthomas (with releases on labels such as hummingbird, organic and of course, metroline limited) and the super-hot up and coming russian producers adjustment bureau

supported by sandy rivera, hecto romero, seth troxler, jamie jones, shaun reeves, bushwacka, konrad black, ivan smagghe, john selway, liapin, wally lopez, rocco, craig morrison - (silicone soul), stuar mcmillan - (slam), frank - (ame), dj hell, luca bachetti, brothers vibe.

their forse deep remix add some shifting percussive elements, a big synth bass, lush pads while layering the main vocal theme. yoshitaca remix completes this tasty package. tokyo based producer, this talented artist was behind one of metrolines most successful releases in 2011, the beautiful just lay back ep. his approach is also deep, with slower tempo, hypnotic synths, deep bass, smooth chords and an infectious groove that will make sure you are locked on the dancefloor!

this killer ep from samuel dan starts as it means to go on with the massive sample loops, and has been custom-made to keep those hands in the air. an infectious, bouncing bassline ebbs and flows through the track, while the tight percussion will keep those feet pounding the floor. octad and phiorio take the controls for the third track. their remix of wake up call is stripped down and funked up. like a prime larry levan cut, funk, disco and house collide but without the mix ever becoming cluttered. the elements are used sparingly and to devastating effect. last but not lease we get samuels original mix in which the brass instruments take centre stage, with trumpets heralding deep bass grooves. they are going to be rocking this one down in the treme. bring on the summer! to finish off this ep in style, heres the floor-filling back home. its immense builds and eminently catchy hooks are guaranteed to spread smiles across the dancefloor like a disease.
