having played host to the first two daphni edits 12 inches, resista return with the label debut of one tom croose.
one half of ny duo worst friends, toms previous discographic output was a limited & stamped 7 inch that featured a killer edit of the macs >never going back again<. for resista no. 3 he delves into territories brazilian, with >cho chua<, a faultless rework of a certain tropicalista, designed for discerning dancefloors, circa ad 2011. he loops up the swinging guitar intro, which combined with the vocal hook makes for a heady mix. its an uplifting, joyous ode to all things tropical!
on the flip the >dukes dub< is a subtler more restrained version that makes greater use of effects and surprisingly brings the songs percussive elements to the fore... not quite as direct as its sibling on the a-side but definitely as effective!
