Wagon Cookin joined Xan Blacq in Salvador de Bahia where they recorded this sultry piece of nusoul called The Week The Weekend.Later Xan Blacq did it again at his London studio in an uptempo style, rerecording everything. Result is a great piece of contemporary soul made with the heart to move the feet. Original has the distinctive wagster jazz touch, but this time with and slightly electronic feel. Flip the side and you will find a broken beat remix of the original Brink on Dreams included in their amazing last album. Electronic but yet jazzy broken production that will rock the place!
