ODD004 is the first various artists release from Odd Socks, and marks the beginning of a series titled Trips & Trinkets. Returning to the label a year since he kicked things off for us, Josh T teams up with Bristols Arkist for their track Fleabag – with chunky slomo grooves and funk sensibilities dripping all over an infectious beat.AD Bourke joins the ranks with his sunday afternoon stroller, Water Sign. Warm bassline grooves and fluttering flute samples sandwich delicate, wavering Rhodes. On the flip, Leeds-based TMS’s debut release Individualism is a dreamy little number that twinkles and plods around live hi-hats and a full-bodied bassline. Saine rounds things off with his dramatic, heartstring-pulling should-be-a-movie-score epic, Ratio.
