Given that Cocktail D Amore s first entry into the re-edit arena, CockRing D Amore, landed almost a year ago, this follow-up is long overdue. Whereas that EP featured a trio of reworks from the extended family, both tracks on this solid 7- (snigger) come from Berlin-based DJ/producer Trent. He begins with the cheery European disco of -The Acrobat-, where prominent horn lines rise and fall over slick funk guitars and shimmering strings. Flip for the cosmic disco-meets-cosmic rock masculinity of -The Fool-, a killer fusion of elastic slap bass, eyes closed guitar solos and occasional blasts of glam rock vocals. Whip off your T-shirt and get to it (dancing, that is).
