Oliver Hos label Wires returns soon with the third installment, >Nothing EP< by Raudive. This release sees oliver pushing the raudive sound into a darker area featuring industrial influences within the techno grooves. The EP starts off with >Shiver<, featuring an organ drone overlaid with bursts of resonance and feedback, with the repeated vocal phrase, >The sun sets inside you<. Next comes >>Nothing<. A strange wood block sound rides over the heavy groove, with synth stabs and echoing vocal sounds, it is relentless and hypnotic. We continue with >Sigil<, the combination of monotone bass and synth stabs with the strange primal moan produce a creepy groove, - gothic techno maybe... Finally we have >Dial<. The last track finishes the EP off with heavy drones and white noise feedback, bringing to mind the relentless tones of Lou Reeds metal machine music.
