Continuing in the same vein of quality twisted deep house, pothOles unravels the Mahla EP. The title track Mahla gets the juices flowing with a hypnotic deep house groover. Serenades head honcho Roberto Rodriguez takes the remix reins and works Mahla into a more percussive and refined interpretation. Its an honour having him on the Common Labour imprint. On the flip side, Gambler sleazes off into B-grade Italo disco spaghetti western territory. A possible soundtrack to a horror flick with Kenny Rogers stumbling into a truckers rest area after a messy night out.
