It has been three years since Nico Lahs debuted on Ovum Recordings with his “Clouded Visions” EP. Nico has displayed a talent for creating beautiful deep soundscapes. In his return to Ovum for his third release, we see a matured Nico, but there is a rawness that remains that make his tracks so special. He has kept busy when not releasing on Ovum with releases on Pokerflat, 8 Bit, and Last Night On Earth. The A side track “Tension” shows a heavier side of Nico’s music. The track though driving still keeps an element of deepness. This is a great journey track that makes you want to close your eyes and get lost in the groove. For the B side, Nico delivers the title track “Absence". This is classic Nico as he dives more into his deeper side. The track twists and turns taking you on a beautiful ride.
