Amam returns to vinyl after a few years away with mrelss—a new alias of label owner Alessio Mereu, delivering a focused solo statement to open the new year: Shard of the 88th Cycle EP. After a run of collaborations and parallel projects (as 1/3 of Befog with Difid and Acid for the Grandma, and 1/2 of Aleandro with Andrea Ferlin), this release offers four stripped, club-oriented tracks built on depth, repetition, and forward motion.

On the A side, “Lurking Spasms” sets the tone with a deep, driving foundation where acid-tinged synth lines and melodic details sit over minimal percussion, while “Season of Reason” leans into hypnosis, shaped by repeating motifs and rhythmic vocal chops that punctuate the groove.
