"We dedicate this record to our late friend Mike Huckaby and his love for the Waldorf Wave synthesizer.

Mark and I met Mike Huckaby back in the mid 90’s and instantly connected over our love of synthesizers, producing Techno, Deep House and Dub Techno. We performed together at parties throughout the 90’s and 2000’s.
It was always a dream for us all to work with the Waldorf Wave. Mark and I both had experience using their other wavetable synthesizers. One day we received a surprise call from Mike, he had purchased the Wave.

Mike wanted to complete an EP that he used the Wave to make all of the sounds.
He started some ideas and drove the Wave up to our studio in Toronto to complete and mix the ideas with us. “My Life with the Wave” was born. Mike continued this project to include an elaborate collection of samples that he made of his patches.

We were shocked to learn of Mike’s passing and wanted to do something to keep the love and passion of his music alive. Transfer is a project that utilizes some sounds from the Waldorf Wave collection along with some of the other Waldorf synths Mike also enjoyed working with (Microwave, XT and Blofeld).

Let Mike’s music legacy live on. "
