IG Cultures Holy Rollers label comes correct with two fiery, teched-out Funky bombs from Major Notes. The >O Beasity EP< is his debut on Holy Roller and one of the freshest funky 12 inches we have heard in 2012 - not watered down or some tepid attempt at house proper. >Rokit< works out some killer tribalist polyrhythms and batty-squeezing bass pressure laced with shades-on synth beams on the A-side, up there with the likes of Funkystepz or Ill Blu, while >O Beasity< gets overlarge on the flip, wrangling martial snares, tribal calls and hard-bodied bass with the ruffest intent.
