Amazing slice of deep, deep electronic Detroit meets Japan music from the supreme Japanese production team, JBP. Sounding like Theo Parrish/Moodyman meets Sun Ra with a touch of Carl Craig, >Aphrotalk< and >Amongstone< has been the exclusive property of Gilles Peterson who has been playing the track on acetate for the last six months. JBP are Tsukasa Yamaguchi, Eiji Takehana and Yasuhiro Nara from Tokyo, Japan. Yamaguchi runs his own Audio Sutra label working with artists as diverse as Toshinori Kondo, Bill Laswell and John Zorn.Takehana runs the TG Electronic label and performs as Takehana and Golden Lotus. Together they have released music with United Future Organisation in Japan. NARA is in charge of the column ZEN AND THE ART OF... in the music magazine Straight No Chaser, functioning as a pipeline introducing and connecting japanese culture to the world.
