FOF kick off 2011 with a nod to the past in the form of Justin Drake (Peace Division) and Kevin Griffiths- (Tsuba) -The Devil-s Eyes-, a deliciously grimy jackin- groove, coming on like a low slung mid 90s house production a la Schatrax. We enlisted the talents of Christopher Rau for the first remix. As many of you know Christopher has had an impressive 2010 culminating in his critically acclaimed LP -Asper Clouds- for the always excellent Smallville label. Chris cleverly uses elements of the original, intertwined them into an altogether quirkier, more optimistic deep house groove with a definite injection of -fun-: To round off the package, new talent Bleak takes the reigns, providing a peak time techno stomper. Bleak-s debut single will be released on Hamburg imprint -Sudden Drop- sometime in early 2011 and promises to mark Bleak out as a name to look out for.
