Almost a year after its first release, Swiss label Framework Recordings offers a fine follow up from fledgling artists Domo with a remix from the well established David Durango.

Domo are a pair of Swiss producers with a sound characterised by a focus on atmosphere and depth, taking cues from the rawness of Detroit and Berlin. They are closely associated with this label and play extended sets at parties under this banner, and more than come correct with their moody offerings here.

The delicious ‘Dustwave’ opens things up with some stripped back and spacious slo-motion grooves. The percussion is rough and grainy, the synths are infused with a real sense of serenity and subtle rhythmic sounds help move things along so that any knowing ‘floor will be locked in.

The brilliantly cavernous ‘Sidetalk’ is another emotive & deep house track for basements who like fat dubby sounds. Growing in stature as it unfolds, it is an effortless and economical track that will take any set to the next level in smart and surreptitious ways.

David Durango completes this Swiss package with a Dark Baroque Reinterpretation. He has previously released on labels like Poker Flat Recordings, Dessous Recordings and NRK, and his spooky offering here is littered with sonar pulses, gently ticking percussion and well crafted synth soul that is humid and human.

This is effortlessly stirring house music that from a label that already operates with real style and substance.
