Cottam s Ruff Draft label makes a logical move and turns to a long-serving champion of gritty, soul-powered house jams from the tough side. DJ Nature may have made his name many moons ago, but he proves to be as relevant as ever on this killer two-track release. -Alfred- is a tightly wound box jam that manages to maintain tension throughout without needing to pander to the release part of the process, sounding all the more exciting for it. -Blood On Your Hands- meanwhile finds Nature heading into the scuffed, soul-sampling territory he s most at home in, and the ensuing rumble of off-key funk is impossible to refute.
