The second in a series of collaborative 12inches between Sonar Kollektiv and Especial Records , showcasing the talents of DJ Kawasaki.

Sales Information:

The second of two collaborative 12inch releases by Sonar Kollektiv and
Especial Records (the label run by Yoshihiro Okino from Kyoto Jazz
Massive) showcases the aspiring talent of DJ Kawasaki. Since his debut
“Beautiful” from 2006 he became a staple and a new ambassador for
Japanese club and dance music. It's been already five years since his first
remix for Sonar Kollektiv (“Dark Soldier” by Roland Appel in 2009) and you
can surely hear how his production skills have even sharpened over the
time.
First we have his take on Sonar Kollektiv artist FETSUM and his hit from last
year, “Waitin' For You”. It has “summer madness” written all over it with a
huge break two-thirds in only to explode in a fulminant finale.
On the AA side we get a new original track by Kaoru Kawasaki called
“Where Would We Be” featuring Jazzanova singer Paul Randolph and
Makoto Shimizu, a bustling producer from
Tokyo. And the summer seems to continue endlessly. The vibe is highspirited
and the horn section lifts the roof and the tune to “a place where we
all unite”.
Makoto's 80's Relick does exactly what the title indicates. Adding more
synths, a thumping bassline and all the ingredients proper electro pop funk
needs – as in The System or Zapp for example. This record will be the
soundtrack to our summer and beyond.
