After releasing Acid Flash, a track with Drvg Cvltvre on Shipwrec earlier in the year and one that got picked up by the likes of the Guardian, Chris Moss Acid is now back with a full EP of his own.

Sales Information:

Before now, the British acid house and electronic musician has release on the taste making Mathematics and well established Don't label, as well as with the 030303 outfit, and is someone who really knows how to get the best out of his various roland drum machines. He also runs the digital label Boxfade Records but here appears on vinyl, with great artwork by Wood1 from the 030303 crew. Up first here is 'Phantacy', which could be seen as a mixture between phantasy and extacy, a dense, prickly, gallivanting techno affair with sinewy electronics, lots of acid and lively percussion all dancing about in a controlled frenzy. Next up, 'Let Me Feel It' is an urgent, up tempo bit of heady acid techno that races along on electro leaning drums as Chris tweak s and te ases his 303 lines beyond all recognition. It's slightly more heady than the opener, but is just as aligned with the dance floor. On the flip, 'The Grin' is a more soulful and uplifting cut, with smooth chords moving about the scales as a warmer, rubbery drums pound below. Keys add yet more colour and this one is a real peak time treat before 'Acid Tronic' gets all kinetic and restless once again. Here the chords are more troubled, the Roland's squeal and the acid is deep down low. It's an attention grabbing way to close down what is a perfectly formed EP that takes cues from the old school as well as looking to the future.
