Hot on the heels of the first part of this single, part 2 of Amirali’s ‘Just An Illusion’ features a classic remix by house hero MK and Bristol’s very own Appleblim.
Taken from his highly acclaimed, recently released debut album on Crosstown, ‘In Time’, ‘Just An Illusion’ is one of the more infectious tracks off the album with its dance-worthy melodic drive and Amirali’s texturally deep and emotive undertones. This 12” features two great interpretations of the original.
Marc Kinchen aka MK offers up a slice of moody sexy house, at first illuminating Amirali’s melancholic vocal and then dropping a dubby bassline and 90s snare kick hat groove. A classic MK remix that sounds truly awesome on the floor, expect to hear this everywhere this summer. On the flip and Appleblim gives ‘Just An Illusion’ an experimental edge with an ice cool cosmic bleeps and futuristic stripped back feel, steeped in murky atmosphere. A couple of great remixes of Amirali’s sublime original.
