DJ FEEDBACK
/ COMMENTS ABOUT THE RELEASE

Stephen (Aeroplane)
I love it! 10/10!

Pilooski
Love both versions. Great 80's melancholy slice of funk!
Will play for sure.

Ashley Beedle
played it last Saturday in Edinburgh - really great reaction. The extended version is very nice!

Chris Todd (Crazy P)
Yea i like this, got an 80's Human League vibe, would be nice to have a dub!!

Danielle Moore (Crazy P)
I think both releases are excellent but the extended is my favourite. The quality 80's sound makes this such a playable and potentially huge tune. It'll certainly be a strong point of my sets whether disco or house driven. Its very memorable and reminds me of mgmt meets 80's yacht rock-perfect and fresh! It is quality. I am a massive 80's fan you see so it hit a spot x.

Iain Bogg (Riotous Rockers)
This is great, really like it, the backing track is fantastic and I like Ali's vocals as well. I'd like more of a dub as well that keeps all the great italo elements just cuts the vocal down a bit. Definitely play this tomorrow at asbo tomorrow. 8/10. Look forward to some remixes too.
(2nd email) Listening again now,I'd like to rescore 9/10,massive!

Joakim
Really like this EP. Good song.

Grum
Absolutely love it...sounds like a classic. going to spin it tonight and tomorrow!
(2nd email) Mate it sounded wicked. It'll be one of those tunes that when people get to know it, they'll love it when they hear it out!

Erol Alkan
this is big

Damon (disco Bloodbath)
the ali track is fucking brilliant!

Rory Phillips (Durrr/Trash)
GO ALI! love it..

Keith McIvor (Optimo)
it's a great song - very catchy but probably not something i'd play in one of my sets.

You may well have heard the name Ali Love before, either as the singer on the Chemical Brothers’ smash Do It Again, or on his own earlier solo singles. But even if somehow you haven’t come across him already, one thing is certain: from here on in, there’ll be no escaping Ali Love.

November heralds the first glorious statement from his triumphant debut album, the limited release single ‘Diminishing Returns’, brilliant, instant Italo-disco inspired classic. Remixes are just around the corner courtesy of Azari & III and Elli Escobar, with the follow up single to be released along with a sparkling new full-length album in the new year.

Back Yard initially made its name as a promotions company, putting on the first London shows of now well established bands such as Muse and Stereophonics. Slowly it evolved into a record label and in 2006 Back Yard released 'Standing In The Way Of Control' in the UK, Europe and Japan, the third album by American disco punk rockers 'Gossip'.
The album spawned the Top 10 single of the same name and went on to sell 300,000 copies across Europe. The following year the label released 'Fancy Footwork' by Chromeo in the UK and has just added Ali Love & Teenagersintokyo to its ranks
