Alan Strani wurde in den Alpen in einem kleinen Haus zwischen der italienischen und der Schweizer Grenze geboren und ist ein transdisziplinärer Künstler, der Musik und bildende Kunst erforscht. Für sein neues Album lud er die Künstler Saeko Killy, Dasho Utochka (Love Object) und die französische Sängerin Tessa Martin ein, um gemeinsam mit ihm zu versuchen, den aktuellen Zeitgeist musikalisch zu verarbeiten und gleichzeitig unser Verhältnis zur digitalen Welt zu hinterfragen. Das Ergebnis ist das Album, das von der gleichnamigen Single Apocalypso getragen wird, ein Wortspiel, das andeutet, dass die ganze Welt angesichts einer möglicherweise bevorstehenden Apokalypse wie Ulysse während seiner Odyssee von den Reizen der Nymphe Calypso abgelenkt wird.

Born in the Alps in a small house spreading between the Italian and Swiss border, Alan Strani is a transdisciplinary artist exploring music and visual arts. For his new album, he invited artists Saeko Killy, Dasho Utochka (Love Object) and French singer Tessa Martin to join him in his attempt to musically make sense of the current Zeitgeist while questioning our relation to the digital world. The result is the album carried by its homonym single Apocalypso, a wordplay suggesting that, in the face of a possible emerging Apocalypse, like Ulysse during his Odyssey, the entire world is being distracted by the charms of the Calypso nymph.
