UHURU (2LP)
2x12 Inch 28.11.18
“uhuru” is the debut album by summers sons & c.tappin from london and bristol. the journey of this album started back in 2015 and was inspired by the people and places of tanzania. after three years of channelling the vibe into beats and bars, it is finally here!
summers sons are turt (rap) & slim (beats) who are actually brothers. they are longtime friends with vocalist and pianist c.tappin. their music can be described as rap with a lot of jazz. we like to call it cool bap.
the double vinyl, including instrumental edits of all songs on vinyl 2, comes in a gatefold cover.

THE PREACHER / BROKEN DREAMS
12 Inch 04.09.09
following the success of their storming funkatech debut >wickedest combination ft. ic3/the system<
west london threesome pyramid are back with the first single in a four part series entitled >elements< consisting of earth, air, fire & water but inspired by their four prefered staples: sex, drugs, rock & roll! in true pyramid style expect nothing less than dancefloor destroyers with uncompromising attitude that deliver the breaks fundamentals: big bass & real breakbeats wrapped up with a fresh twist for 2009.
proclaiming the arrival of this new series in full effect is the preacher this summers first festival anthem. take heed all ye doubting thomases this will bring you to your knees. the ominous intro gives way to heavy rock guitars and a foreboding preachers sermon whipping the crowd into a frenzy before suddenly being struck down by waves of bass and earth quaking beats so big they will bring the lame back to their feet. this is a big room track guaranteed to smash up the dance. big warm and heavy it will rock the most sinful of ravers into repentance. watch those hands reach for the sky ... hhhhallelujah!
not letting up the energy for a second and next up on the flip is >broken dreams< featuring the vocal and production talents of yoof (sons of mecha). no massive build ups here just a great vocal hook, raw beats and bass. no sir this is a ram raid. break steppin broken beats, rapid distorted basslines, thrash guitars & crashing cymbals... have it! underground and uncompromising pyramid bring the skank for 2009.
