Far Out Recordings presents the eighth single of the Monster Disco Orchestra series with a huge release from Mark Pritchard and Marcellus Pittman ahead of the forthcoming F.O.M.D.O. album. Vinyl only release!

Far Out impresario Joe Davis created the Monster Disco Orchestra in 2010 alongside label producers and long-time friends David Brinkworth (Harmonic 313) and Daniel “Venom” Maunick who wrote ‘Vendetta’. The original track, recorded in Brazil, was arranged by the legendary Arthur Verocai seeing the Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra led by Azymuth’s now dearly departed Jose Roberto Bertrami alongside a host of Rio’s finest musicians and a hugely talented string section.
This is supersized disco like you’ve never heard, remixed by true electronic music stalwarts.

MARK PRITCHARD

With releases and remixes as Harmonic 313 (Warp), Africa Hitech, Global Communication, Troubleman (two LPs on Far Out), Jedi Knights, Use of Weapons and many others, Pritchard has set out a history of sonic explorations rooted firmly in the drum machine driven vernacular of groove. Letting remixing duties take a back seat for the foreseeable future to focus on original productions, this Detroit-esque re-rub sees Mark Pritchard delivering a 10 minute old school cut of analogue techno with a truly dark bassline becoming the track’s signature motif.

MARCELLUS PITTMAN

As one of the four members of ‘Three Chairs’, seminal Detroit production collective including Rick Wilhite, Theo Parrish and Kenny “Moodymann” Dixon, Marcellus ‘Mailk’ Pittman has helped define our communal understanding of the Detroit house and techno spectrum with his stripped down and sparse production aesthetics.
Sticking to his modus operandi, Pittman’s take on ‘Vendetta’ collages the ethereal strings and percussion elements of the original composition with a loose slow-disco groove, delivering a tension building remix that has classic written all over it.
