Moon in Van Nuys” revels in percussion and timbales tinged with vague latin feel, its swirling mood is sufficiently underpinned by tight-woven kick drums. “Dogs of the Bank” relies on more stripped grooves, as fragmented voice and ghostly note sets deep atmosphere.
