Sampler 12 inch of Tom Tragos upcoming album >IrisIris<, to be released April 2011, comes this three track sampler. The tracks featured here show the diverse nature of the album, which can be best described as a futuristic soul album. After releasing his double EP >Voyage Direct<, early 2009, Tom has spent the last two years finding his signature sound. The outcome of this search has resulted in >Iris<. Where >Voyage Direct< was his homage to disco, >Iris< deals with all of Toms musical inspirations. Shaping these inspirations into a new sound and creating an exciting mix is where Tom really succeeds. The three tracks on the sampler all deal with merging the old with the new. >Being With You< is a match made in heaven between electronic music and R&B, >Space Balloon< lets disco and funk make love in a spaceship. What You Do is a future version of late 80s Chicago hip house, which features Tyree Cooper (who, together with Fast Eddie, invented the genre).
