Elevation Ltd is delighted to feature the talents of Jakob Seidensticker on its first musical solo outing, which also features the talents of Berlin’s Einmusik, New York’s Feygin and Tobii (Norway) on remix duties.

Jakob as you may know is an integral cog in the wheel in the Hamburg trio Wareika
(Connaisseur, Tartelet, Motivbank, Eskimo, Liebe/Detail) as well as a burgeoning producer of quality grooves in his own right on labels like Ostwind, Klanggut and Lebensfreude.

‘I Feel Loved’ is the perfect introduction to the slightly different path Elevation Ltd is taking from its mother Elevation Recordings. The music may be still deep and groovy but there something different going on here for sure. Something wonderful, hopefully!

Berlin’s Einmusik (Samuel Kindermann) will be a very familiar name to some of you with a bevy of releases and remixes on his own einmusika label as well bouq., Noir, Yellow Tail, Parquet, Diynamic and Liebe Detail. Check his remix for a no nonsense future-tech groover that is sure to have you imitating a funky robot on a dancefloor near you very soon.

Hailing from New York Felix Feygin is a fast rising talent who has ingratiated himself very quickly into the DJ boxes of the main movers and shakers of the industry due to his phenomenal knack for slaying the dance floor at the flick of his wrist. As Rocky so aptly describes the Feygin effect…" Played ‘Chisel’ last Sunday at a mad Sunday night club in east London. The crowd went nuts and some girl came over and kissed me full on the mouth!!! First groupie experience I've had in 21 years and all thanks to your track!!! Rocky (X-Press 2)"
Marco Carola - "Einmusik Remix...good track!"

Joris Voorn - "Sweet sound! Einmusik mix for me!"

Orde Meikle - (Slam) - "Cool original - a top remixes - like this alot!"

Samuel L Session - "The last two mixes are cool!"

Lee Curtiss - "Killer EP!"

Boris Werner - "Cool remixes but like the original the most, will play foo shoo!"

Gorge - "Einmusik Remix is cool."

What else can I say then that I simply love this record? Jakob Seidensticker may not be a name you've encountered before, but on this evidence at least, it's certainly one you'll be hearing again. The same indeed may be said of Elevation Limited, with the EP in question the debut outing from the offshoot of it's bigger brother, Elevation Recordings.

The 'I Feel Loved' EP (which should at no time be mistaken for the 90's trance track of the same name) brings the listener on a chunky, groovy, house ride, with the opening title track setting the wheels in motion in impressive fashion. Certain to yield an impressive response across the electronic music spectrum, the rounded, widely appealing, dance floor focused sound on display here as a far cry from the at times monotonous deep house sound which at times plagues its mother imprint.

A man who needs no introduction however, is on hand to deliver the first of three impressive remixes. Berliner Einmusik's mix rises and drops in all the right places. Laced with even more funk than the original, expect an array of clued in Djs to include this tech house work out in their sets in the upcoming months.

New Yorker Felix Feygin we're being told, is a 'rising talent who has ingratiated himself very quickly into the Dj boxes of the main movers and shakers of the main movers and shakers of the industry due to his knack for slaying the dance floor'. Known for occasionally 'bending' the truth, we'd be inclined this time to actually dismiss a sentence that reads like this as typical PR hyperbole.

Based on this evidence however, we'd be hard pressed to disagree. Another tech house track with bags of attitude, it keeps little more than the originals catchy hook intact before injecting it with layers of intricate drum patterns and vast smatterings of bass. Most excellent.
