The Cologne based Grossprojekt arose in 2006 from the rather coincidental neigbourship and clubbing friendship between techno DJ and live act Bastian Bue?r and breakbeat producer Alex Cwicek. The year 2008 marks the end of their deliberate reluctance: Their debut release on DEBOX combines the different roots of the two artists to a new creative entity, resulting in an amazingly effective piece of techno in Querschlaeger. Raumkruemmung on the flipside works a bit like its own, streamlined transmission onto a straight bassdrum monotonous, raw and uncompromising.
