Electrik Bugg is a new record label based in the techno Mecca that is Crawley, UK. Set up with the sole purpose of releasing limited run vinyl with limited information, the label s >no frills< attitude forces the listener to focus on the key issue here, which is of course the music. Drawing from influences past and present, the producers involved (who s backgrounds range from familiar to the unknown) have been influenced by the classic early techno such as Black Dog, Carl Craig, Kirk Degiorgio ao, and the music portrays these influences blatantly. Deeper shades of techno which sounds very analogue in production focusing on a more intriguing percussion style than your average…(some of the drum programming here is down right stunning).
