he blueprints ep marks the welcome return of the talented toulouse based producer redeyes. following a number of releases on seminal labels such as bingo, creative source, innerground and brownswood in the mid 2000s, redeyes then decided to take a step back from music production. now returning as a more complete and mature artist, his blueprints ep on lenzman’s the north quarter imprint sends an exciting message of where julien salvi stands in 2017. comprising of an ambitious nine tracks, redeyes’ blueprints ep showcases his exquisite musicianship and ability in the studio throughout each piece of music. in true north quarter style, he effortlessly breaks down the boundaries between drum & bass and hip hop, whilst fully maintaining the soulful and heartfelt aesthetic that he is known and revered for. the release sees him join forces with a plethora of exciting talent. ‘100 porsches to the stars’ brings him together with underground la rap hero hus kingpin for a lo-fi hip hop masterclass. he also collaborates with mancunian don black josh, children of zeus’ infamous tyler daley, north quarter chief lenzman, and many more.

following his previous release on im:ltd, pennygiles has kept himself mad busy over the past year both in and out the studio while pumping iron and shaping up for the worlds strongest man championship. in order the put all the odds in our corner, we took dutch shady trainer nymfo aboard to come up with a pumped up steroidal version of stories untold while the b side sees the return of the infamous french nutritionist redeyes sparring with the welsh ogre for a carb free dubby liquid track called wavering lines. in addition, our good doctors arkaik and robustus have cooked up the perfect complement shakes for our tight panted hero, proving, once again, im:ltds ability to come up with some of the juiciest drum & bass music around.

with releases on the best labels of the kind ( ram, metalheadz, hospital?), s.p.y is definitely the man of the moment. its an honour for the camp to announce vandal records 006 with him on each side. on >my valentine< remix, he keep the similar vibe and add a powerful beat and over distorted bass. a dance floor smasher with no doubt witch kill it each time. elite squad is perfect to complete this release, its a kind of metalheadz goodness with amen, vocal and dark atmosphere.
dj support for this track came from dj marky, goldie, doc scott, bailey, loxy, benny page, nymfo to name but a few.

integral records present the much anticipated colab release from lenzman and redeyes. high & low is arguably their biggest track to date and features the classic ahmad jamal hook which de la soul also used in the stakes is high. high & low has also just been added to the bbc1xtra daytime playlist. thieves in the night on the flip also uses another well known ahmad jamal piano hook. a classic release thats not t be missed... plenty of support has come from djs such as andy c all the way through to fabio, bailey and mistajam.
